PSU
I'd guess is the 3rd best team in the big 11.
OSU
Iowa/PSU(somewhere 2 and 3)
Wisky
MSU/Morthwestern
The rest of the slugs
I guess MSU makes it in at about 5/6
SOS, and SORR
KKKBass, "1) PSU is not that good. How did Sparty fall apart so badly in the game?"
PSU looked pretty good to me, their defense is very quick, they swarm to the ball at all times. The Spartan D had pretty much negated the run, suddenly in the third quarter PSU remembered how generous MSU is with the forward pass, bingo bango, throw in two Cuz INT, both of which they scored off, and suddenly PSU is up 28 points in the third, just too high of a mountain to climb.
By the way the score had State losing by 28, not 30, don't try to sneak in an extra 2 points on us.
I suspect the humilitation of UM and RR at the hands of OSU was too much to ignore for ESPN, it meant no bowl, and a losing record for UM, it meant an unshared title for OSU. MSU/PSU meant little to nothing, we will go to a crap bowl, PSU is likely headed to the Orange.
Lions
And the browns are terrible. I would say they are worse than the Rams. And we have to watch them get run off the field by Green bay on Thanksgiving? HA!

reasonable: I know OSU wasn't on MSU's schedule, I just meant they are considered to be amongst the better teams (the best) in the conference. Michigan ran up 28 on Iowa w/ 5 TO's i.e. the spread scored more than MSU's traditional style. That was the entire point any offense will work if executed properly.
Against Michigan, Tater tied the game and forced an OT. Against Wisc MSU was trailing 38-17 until 2:03 remaining on the clock. The last TD was w/ 15 seconds remaining. There was realistically no possibility of a W or even an OT. I don't understand criticizing Michigan's offense when MSU's was not much better, if any at all against those opponents.
CMU: You are not being consistent. First you say that you need to play a full 60 minutes and then point out CMU was pretty much a fluke. Can't have it both ways. CMU played the full 60 minutes.
I'm out on this subject.State Will Pick It Up Next Season
With Greg Jones and Cousins back I see MSU picking it up after a disapointing season (who would have thought we'd be saying THAT)and contending for the conference title next season. It's great to finally have exciting expectations year in and year out.
Not a very good year but I was not planning for a BCS game anyway. We held M to 28 yards on the ground and that was gold. We own them for another year.
Love Spartan hoops....its going to be another GREAT winter. Also, no offense, but a couple of M'ers on here need to take Rich Rods advise (uhhh.....anakin and lady ummer) Holy crimeny son of Izzo.
Looks like we are the boss in ALL THREE revenue sports this year. GO STATE.
Michigan Fans
You judge all fans because of a few ignorant teenagers? Good for you friend- but alot people have fought for our country - and that also gives people the right to act like jerks- like it or not. If he got treated as you say, that isn't right, but it wasn't because they are Michigan fans and he fought for this country. Just because you are a Michigan fan doesn't make you polite or impolite. I'm sure there are lots of stories about how Michigan fans get treated in the "boot". Get a grip. Bad things happen to good people. We have all experienced being treated unfairly or badly. Move on.
Michigan Fans
I've been going to Michigan games for 50 years and I'll tell you that nothing happens at Michigan anywhere near the crap that goes on in colonumbus. What you describe may have very well happened yesterday but I've never seen it in my years. And I am pretty sure some Michigan fans would intervene. I am sure I would. In colonumbus they would join in.
SOS, and SORR
KK, I can sum up 80-90% of it by simply saying: "The wheel route"
But ya know, I don't think they covered the first part of the wheel either. So, I'm not sure it was the route per se, but possibly Joe Pa's boys found a way to get a receiver unaccounted for...
Michigan Fans
My neighbor is an Ohio State fan and attends every game every year, both here and in Columbus. He is also a Viet Nam Veteran. What happened to him yesterday at Michigan Stadium is reprehensible. He was going to his seat and so Called Michigan fans bumped into him purposely and verbally abused him and acted like idiots. Do not telle about how the fans in Columbus act. Yesterday Michigan fans broke all the rules and belittled a Man who fought for their freedom and the right to go to Michigan Stadium and have fun.Thank God my firend has enough class to ignore these jerks. Trust me he what he did in Nam would not be repeated yesterday but these fans deserved to get their behinds kicked. Do not ever tell me how classy U of M is aging. They are front runners who do not know how to behave in adversity. Ohio State won and Michigan lost both on and off the field!
SOS, and SORR
Michigan has stunk for two straight seasons, but I dont think that quite yet justifies an SOS-like moniker. The Spartans have been the Same Ol Spartans for years. I didnt make it up. I heard it many time from different sportscasters on ESPN. I will concede SORR, Same Ol Rich Rod!
But what happened yesterday anyway? I was only able to watch the first half, and PSU's D was good, but their O was horrible. 7-7 tie, then I had to go for a social outing in St Louis. I come home at 11pm, turn on Sports Center, watched till about midnight. In that entire time, not ONE mention of the MSU-PSU game. Meanwhile, in that same timeframe, they covered the UM-OSU game three times. IN addition, they had a courtroom skit debating whether Michigan or Notre Dame were heading in the right direction.
I didnt find out the MSU score until this morning! what the heck happened? 7-7 Halftime, to losing the game by 30! But this raises two questions that should concern Sparty fans. 1) PSU is not that good. How did Sparty fall apart so badly in the game? And 2) Why would Sports Center ignore such a big game for MSU, while covering a bad UM-OSU game 3 times? Sports Center did a clip on the Harvard-Yale game for Petes sake! An Ivy League game trumps MSU-JoPa??

anakin: "MSU was owned by Wisc, don't look at the final score. I think 13 or 14 of those pts came in the last 2 minutes when the game was over."
Don't fb games last 60 minutes, should we ignore the last few minutes of the UM/MSU game too, after all MSU had owned Tater and company for 56 minutes of regulation?
"Same thing against PSU." We both got blown out by PSU, I agree with you on that.
"I am pointing out that MSU did not fare significantly better against the so called "better competition in the B10 (Iowa, Wisc, PSU, OSU)"
OSU who wasn't on our schedule, we both lost to Iowa by 2 points at the end of the game, it comes down to Wisconsin and PSU I guess. I will grant you that Wisconsin had their way with us for most of the day, but they did that the year before, and we ended up beating them at the end of the game. You DO have to play 60 minutes of all games. No team can survive long without a good defense, neither UM or MSU has one at present, we agree on that.
"Purdue hung big points on MSU." Only not as many as MSU hung on them at the end of the game.
"CMU beat them w/ a spread offense."
MSU would have won that game 9 out of 10 times, CMU executed a beautiful on side kick, they missed a 47 yard field goal, game over except State jumped off side. They made the 42 yarder. Failure of special teams on MSU lost that game, plus CMU has a wonderful quarterback, not sure I give the spread that much credit, we beat NWRN and they have played the spread for years.
Lions
Trailing 24-10 to the frickin BROWNS. Only the LIONS :(
Rich
As you all know, I would be sending Rich packing if I were the AD. But I will say this. If I was going to give Rich one more year, I would just go all in and give him two more. I mean next year is not going to be any different I believe. If you are going to throw one more year away, you might as well stick with him one more after that. The question in my opinion is not if he should be given another year, the question is, is he showing competence as a coach. By that I mean, even with a bad team, does the team at least show some improvement from week to week. A competent coach (teacher) will be able to find some things wrong and correct a few of the things. There will be some improvement during the season if he is competent. Sorry, but I am not seeing it. Just not seeing it. I know some of you UM fans don't want to go back to square one. But your program might be farther away from square one if you keep an incompetent coach for another one or two more years, further digging a hole.
No Harbaugh
It's fun sharing and exchanging thoughts w/ a majority on this forum. A lot of good posters and good folk. Keep the faith, Michigan will be back.
Obcessed Johnny
Petey Cruiser try to get it right, OBSESSED is the word. Maybe you were using that same dictionary that had the FAKE "Dissention", unheard of in the free world.
